One of the most common issues with windows and doors is their trim capping. The original installation of the window or door may be correct, however the weatherproofing in form of aluminum capping was not pitched correctly (forcing water to run into the house instead of out). Other issues we've seen in the improper capping of the window or door in general. In this case the installer didn't add the capping in the right areas or made the wrong bends - allowing rainwater to run into the window or door, instead of away from it.
Sometimes the solution is simple and we can adjust the trim capping. Other times, we need to replace whole sections or re-cap the entire window or door. Either way, trust that Leakenders can both identify and correct the issue.
